The 2025/26 season marks Xian Zhang’s first as Music Director of Seattle Symphony. She will conduct ten programmes featuring canonical works by Mozart, Mahler, Gershwin and Rachmaninov, contemporary compositions by Michael Abels, Melissa Douglas, Steven Mackey, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, Qigang Chen and Jessie Montgomery, and collaborations with Daniil Trifonov, Hélène Grimaud, Jan Vogler, Alexander Malofeev and others.
